Shankaracharya Temple is one of the oldest and most sacred Hindu temples in Kashmir. It is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is an important pilgrimage site for devotees. The temple is located on Shankaracharya Hill (also known as Gopadari Hill) and offers a panoramic view of Dal Lake and the city of Srinagar. It is believed that the great philosopher Adi Shankaracharya visited this place during his travels across India.
