Gurez Valley is a remote and scenic valley in northern Jammu and Kashmir, known for its lush green meadows, snow-capped mountains, and the winding Kishanganga River. It is famous for its natural beauty, traditional wooden homes, and unique tribal culture of the Dard Shina people. The valley remains relatively untouched by mass tourism, making it ideal for trekking, birdwatching, and photography. In winter, heavy snowfall covers the valley, creating a stunning white landscape. Gurez is also strategically important due to its proximity to the Line of Control with Pakistan.
